Our Story

The story of Maranatha Christian Church is a testament to faith, perseverance, and God's faithful hand. In 2022, Pastor Sanville Moses and his wife, Earlene, felt a strong calling to establish a church in the rural setting of Faure Wine Farm. They began by gathering a small group of families, and those early days were especially meaningful, filled with cherished memories of Pastor Sanville's late father.
From those humble beginnings, Maranatha's foundation was built on the principles of "Sound Word of God," heartfelt worship, and a dedicated Children's Ministry. We've experienced both challenges and triumphs as we've grown, and we've been blessed to impact our community by connecting people with the resources they need. Our heart is to share the Kingdom of God and welcome others into His family. To that end, we've launched "Church Has Left the Building" initiatives and Discovery Bible Studies.
We are profoundly grateful for the legacy of faith that has shaped us, and we invite you to join us on this journey. We are now stepping into a new chapter, developing a media platform to reach the unchurched—Christians who haven't found a church home. With a global audience of 5.5 billion people, we are trusting God to use us to reach the masses through every available media channel.

Maranatha Christian Church is pleased to announce the implementation of a structured, year-long feeding scheme, designed to address the ongoing food needs within our community. We have established a carefully planned rotation, ensuring that for the next 12 months, our church will provide a weekly feeding initiative.
One day each week, our volunteers dedicate their time and resources to prepare and distribute nutritious meals. This consistent effort allows us to reach and support over 850 individuals per month, offering vital assistance to those experiencing food insecurity.
This feeding scheme is a testament to our church's commitment to sustained service and our desire to be a beacon of hope in our community. We are deeply grateful for the volunteers who make this program possible, and we invite anyone who wishes to contribute to join us in this meaningful endeavour.
